Cranberry scones, orange and white chocolate


INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 cups flour
3 tablespoons of sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup cold butter cut into cubes
3/4 cups of buttermilk
1 cup fresh cranberries
2 teaspoons grated orange rind
3 oz of chopped white chocolate
melted white chocolate

PREPARATION
1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the butter and, using a dough cutter, work the mixture until it has the texture of coarse bread crumbs. Add the buttermilk and mix until the dough is moist. Stir in cranberries, orange zest and chopped white chocolate.

2. On a floured work surface, roll the dough into a 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick circle. Cut the dough into eight points and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in preheated oven at 400 ° F (200 ° C) for 15 to 18 minutes. Sprinkle the scones with melted white chocolate.
